More About Audrey Conrad Farrier Service
My Story
If there were one way to summarize my life it would be HORSES HORSES HORSES! My mother and my grandfather are responsible for my ongoing love affair with horses and all things equine. With my parent's support I was one of those lucky kids who had the opportunity as a toddler to be blessed with having horses be an every day aspect of my life. The instinctual passion of a life with horses only grew stronger with every passing year. In my 20's I was afforded the opportunity to get a more hands on experience in the artistic and yet rugged world of farriery. After a couple years as a farrier's apprentice I completed the farrier course at Cornell University and graduated that program in December 2006. Blessings were bountiful as my education at Cornell was provided by none other than the brilliant and pioneering farrier Michael Wildenstein CJF FWCF. One of the most unique aspects about farrier school at Cornell University was the proximity and collaboration with the Veterinary Clinic and School. As a student you are afforded numerous opportunities to witness unique cases of lameness in horses and other quadrupeds. Upon receipt of my certificate of completion from the Cornell University Farrier Science Program I immediately struck out on my own and have officially been in business since January 1, 2007. The road thus far has been fascinating, frustrating and unbelievably rewarding. There is no better education than real world experience. Perhaps one of the most frequent questions I am asked is why I chose to become a farrier. Truth be told when I was a high school student I was set on becoming the worlds best horse trainer, for no other reason than to contribute towards making a difference for the animals that so defined my life. Years later and a number of horse management jobs later I realized my desire to help horses could be done through farrier work. Where so much of a horse's life and it's comfort and longevity depends on the health of it's hooves I could think of no better way to help these animals I respect so much. While I have no desire to conquer the world, I strive every day to do the very best for each and every horse I see, as though they were my very own, and that mind set has not only kept me humble but open to change and progress. With the support and blessings of my husband Chuck, I am able to devote so much time and energy towards the advancements of my own education and the services I can provide to my local horse community here in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire.

Collaboration
Next Level Service
One of my greatest attributes is my willingness to work side by side with your vet, trainer, and other bodywork specialists. Where we as a team can design the best supportive and protective measures for the whole health of your horse.
Corrective and Therapeutic Farriery
Support for your horse's various needs
No horse has text book conformation, so I feel it's a little misleading to categorize any one horse's needs as being therapeutic or corrective. The good news is if your horse needs specific shoeing, I've got them covered and am always happy to learn and modify their needs as they arise.

Customer Service
I'm not happy if you and your horse aren't happy
I want all of my customers to experience the impressive level of professionalism when working with me. All of my services, especially this one, exist to make your life easier and stress free. You can trust me to supply you with the best care, as well as top quality customer service.

Horse Hoof Trimming and Shoeing
Correct and balanced hoof care
Meeting the requirements of each and every horse is essential and exactly what I am able to provide your horse. Whether that is by managing your barefoot horse, or by providing optimal hot or cold shoeing. For me, it always comes down to the health of your horse and what is best for him or her.
